Every year, a celebration is held in Liestal to mark World Polio Day. We’ve been invited to support this event and lend a helping hand:
The Rotary Clubs of the Baselbiet-Fricktal region are once again hosting their joint World Polio Day event at the Spittelerhof. This year, the official date falls on a Saturday.
We’ll have a booth in the town center of Liestal, where we’ll be serving waffles and handing out balloons.
The festival tent will be set up again at the Spittelerhof, and we’ll be selling various items to benefit the fight against polio.
Starting at 10 a.m., we’ll be there with cake, bacon braided bread, and drinks.
Whether for an aperitif, lunch, or an afternoon snack—be sure to stop by Liestal on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
All proceeds will be donated in full to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI). (endpolio.org)
Lunch has already become a tradition: We’ll be serving Hörnli and Ghackts, as well as a vegetarian option. Portions are CHF 15.
